Grease is the Word

Artist: Frankie Valli

The original stage production of the musical Grease (written by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs) appeared in 1971 but was made into a hugely successful film in 1978. Most of the music in the film is a weird amalgam of 70s pop and 50s rock'n'roll and is too sugary (and crap) for a band of our reputation to even consider. However the theme tune, sung by Frankie Valli of the Four Seasons was written by Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees and features none other than Humble Pie's Peter Frampton on guitar.  Anyway, we like it, so you'll have to put up with it until we get bored with it!
